Everything You Need to Know About EWA 2025: Tracks, Festivals, Hubs

Back in 2022, we launched Entertainment Week Lagos, driven by one simple, stubborn truth: African creativity is the best export the world has never fully invested in. We built a hub to connect innovators to tech investors, emerging designers to global buyers, dreamers to platforms, and creatives to global opportunities.

And we watched it work. We leveled up.

EWL officially evolved into Entertainment Week Africa (EWA) 2025, a continental mandate that reflects the pan-African ambition of our creators and the $58 billion size of our creative economy.

In November, from the 18th to the 23rd, Lagos becomes the epicentre, a six-day, city-wide convergence. Our mission: “Close the Gap.” We address infrastructural gaps, mentorship gaps, talent gaps, funding gaps, opportunity gaps, and bridge local-global divides in music, AI & tech, fashion, live production, and entrepreneurship. EWA 2025 builds the infrastructure for the next era of African global dominance.

Where to Find Your Tribe: The EWA Ecosystem

Entertainment Week Africa is an all-inclusive ecosystem, a home and hub for all creatives. We acknowledge that a large event can make finding your specific community difficult. We’ve solved this by structuring EWA 2025 as a vibrant, integrated Village of Hubs and Festivals, spreading the energy across Lagos while ensuring every attendee has a dedicated base.

The Six Flagship Festivals, Hubs, and Labs

EWA delivers a unified, high-impact experience across six key tracks.

EWA Content Festival: Brings filmmakers, producers, distributors, buyers, investors, and film lovers together. Expect exclusive premieres, curated screenings, and a Film Content Market where projects are pitched, stories are sold, and deals are made. It’s a celebration of African cinema and a working marketplace designed to push the industry forward.

EWA Music Festival: The heartbeat of Africa’s sound, uniting markets, labs, panels, and masterclasses by day, and unforgettable showcases, Turn Up Lagos, and the Livespot X Concert by night.

EWA Fashion Festival: Where Africa’s designers and style innovators redefine fashion. Bold collections and cultural expression meet forward-thinking design, celebrating the continent’s creative edge.

EWA AI & Tech Expo: Spotlights how innovation reshapes Africa’s creative industries, giving creators access to tools, insights, and connections to scale, collaborate, and build the future.

EWA Live Events Expo: Showcases the talent, tools, and technology behind Africa’s top productions, giving producers and brands insights, partners, and solutions to create unforgettable live experiences.

Labspot CSED: Entertainment Week Africa’s hub for training, mentorship, and startup support, equipping participants with the skills and networks to turn talent into sustainable careers and scalable businesses.

Think of these dedicated tracks as your professional home bases: highly curated zones for intense networking, skill acceleration, and finding the partners who will define your next project.

The Engine Room: From Talent to Transaction

Our mission to “Close the Gap” is realized through practical, high-value platforms designed for tangible, real-world outcomes:

1. The Deal Room: Structured Access to Capital

The Deal Room is EWA’s high-stakes investment platform. This is where pre-selected founders pitch refined business models directly to a curated network of Africa-focused investors, accelerators, and venture capitalists. It offers unparalleled access to mentorship and a strategic pathway to secure capital. The focus is on turning brilliant creative ideas into profitable, scalable businesses.

2. The Creative Job Fair

Directly addressing the employment gap, the Creative Job Fair connects trained creative talent with leading organizations. Recruiters and hiring managers are present to conduct interviews and fill roles across all EWA sectors, from production to marketing and technology. This platform links upskilling directly with career opportunities.

3. The Music & Content Markets

This marketplace brings buyers, distributors, and funders together in one space. If you have finished Intellectual Property (IP), from film scripts to music catalogues, this platform helps you secure licensing deals and distribution agreements, linking local content creation to global revenue streams.

The Pulse of Culture: Experiences and Networking

EWA integrates its business summit with a vibrant cultural celebration. The week is packed with essential experiences designed for community and inspiration:

Jokes ‘n’ Jollof (Comedy Show): A signature event celebrating African comedy and cuisine.

Private Dinners: Curated, exclusive environments for high-level networking and relationship building.

Convoz With: Intimate, insightful sessions with iconic industry leaders and cultural figures.

Gen Z Republik: A dedicated, immersive space for young creators to connect, collaborate, and set new trends.

Impact Awards: Recognizing and celebrating excellence across all creative sectors.

Networking Events & Parties: Dedicated social experiences for connecting with peers and partners.

Your Invitation to the Future of Africa’s creative economy

EWA 2025 invites stakeholders, investors, and attendees to actively build the future of African creativity. Whether you are seeking investment, a new job, a global distribution partner, or an unforgettable cultural experience, your involvement is a vital part of this movement.
