What is Entertainment Week Africa (EWA)?
Entertainment Week Africa (EWA) is a pan-African cultural and educational gathering that connects Africa’s creative talent to the world. It spotlights six tracks: Music, Film & TV, AI & Tech, Fashion, Live Production, and Entrepreneurship. EWA brings together creators, industry leaders, and audiences for screenings, showcases, workshops, panels, and networking from across the continent.
Is Entertainment Week Africa (EWA)different from Entertainment Week Lagos (EWL)?
Yes. Entertainment Week Lagos has evolved into Entertainment Week Africa, expanding its scope beyond Nigeria to confront the institutional and structural challenges facing the creative industry across the continent.
What is the theme for 2025?
The theme is “Close the Gap”. It focuses on bridging divides in policy, access, infrastructure, visibility, and opportunity while driving job creation across Africa’s creative industries.
When and where is EWA happening?
EWA takes place from the 18th – 23rd November 2025 at the Livespot Entertarium, Ikate, Lekki and across select venues in Lagos, Nigeria.
What is new at EWA 2025?
This year, the Film Fest expands with more premieres and curated screenings. We’re also introducing Creators’ Day inside the Content Market. The Creative Job Fair launches as a direct bridge between trained talent and real opportunities across the industry. In music, the Sound Lab debuts as an immersive camp for collaboration, alongside the Music Market where executives, labels and investors scout talent, review catalogues and close deals.
