Entertainment Week Africa to Host EWA Creative Connect in London

Entertainment Week Africa (EWA), an initiative of Livespot360 dedicated to advancing Africa’s creative economy, will host the next edition of EWA Creative Connect in London on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

EWA Creative Connect is an exclusive gathering designed to bring together senior leaders across global entertainment, media, investment, and culture alongside some of Africa’s most influential creative innovators across music, film, fashion, technology, and live experiences. The convening aims to foster strategic dialogue and partnerships that integrate African talent, intellectual property, and creative infrastructure into global cultural and commercial ecosystems.

Africa’s creative economy continues to expand rapidly, with the sector now estimated to be valued at over $50 billion and increasingly shaping global cultural conversations. Through Creative Connect, we are creating an environment where industry leaders can exchange ideas, build partnerships, and explore pathways for scaling African creativity within international markets.

Why London

London provides a natural setting for the gathering. As one of the world’s leading creative capitals, the city sits at the intersection of European, Commonwealth, and African cultural networks. Its vibrant diaspora communities, influential cultural institutions, festivals, and investment ecosystem make it an important hub for conversations around cross-continental collaboration.

The London convening will explore themes including talent mobility, creative financing, intellectual property development, and market expansion, areas that are increasingly central to the global growth of African creative industries.

From Los Angeles to London

The inaugural edition of EWA Creative Connect took place in Los Angeles during Grammy Awards weekend in February 2026. Convened by Darey Art Alade and Deola Art Alade, founders of Entertainment Week Africa, the gathering brought together influential voices from across music, film, fashion, and related creative industries.

Participants included Shawnae Corbett, SVP of Marketing at Warner Records; Don Jazzy, founder of Mavin Records; Tega Oghenejobo, CEO of Mavin Records; Bose Ogulu, manager to Burna Boy; and Osahon Akpata, CEO of CANEX Creation Inc., among others. The intimate gathering created space for candid conversations and new relationships aimed at strengthening opportunities for African creatives and industry stakeholders.

London Convening

The upcoming London edition will host C-suite executives, cultural tastemakers, venture capitalists, investors, media leaders, and key architects shaping the future of global creative industries. Held at a private residence, the gathering will continue EWA Creative Connect’s focus on meaningful dialogue and partnership-building within a carefully curated setting.

Through Creative Connect, we continue our commitment to building bridges between African creative talent and the global industries shaping the future of culture.
