EWA Creative Connect: Bridging Africa’s Creative Economy With the World

Built on the principle of access, Entertainment Week Africa (EWA) has consistently sort to provide access to knowledge, opportunities, capital, and the people shaping the future of the global creative industry. This access requires a deliberate convening of culture drivers, decision makers, investors, platforms, and creative leaders in spaces designed for meaningful exchange and collaboration.

It is within this context that the EWA Creative Connect was established. Conceived as a global relationship and pipeline building platform, the EWA Creative Connect connects senior industry leaders with Africa’s rapidly expanding creative economy and the opportunities it presents.

More than a traditional networking forum, the platform is structured around depth, alignment, and measurable outcomes. With objectives to position Africa’s creative economy as a world-class growth opportunity, convene capital, platforms, operators, and cultural leaders within a trusted setting, and create credible pathways for collaboration, investment, and distribution, EWA Creative Connect is designed to convert global conversations into sustained partnerships and long-term engagement with Africa’s creative industries.

Following four years of building the Entertainment Week Africa platform and convening industry leaders across the continent, the inaugural edition of EWA Creative Connect was hosted in Los Angeles during the 2026 GRAMMY® Weekend. The gathering brought together global music executives, investors, creative entrepreneurs, and African cultural leaders for an intimate exchange on the opportunities and partnerships shaping Africa’s fast-growing creative sectors.

The Los Angeles edition marked the beginning of a broader global series intended to deepen international engagement with African creativity.

Next stops include London (March 2026), Dubai, Doha, New York, and other key creative capitals, each designed to close the gap between Africa’s creative industries and the global ecosystem that supports their growth.

Through Creative Connect, Entertainment Week Africa continues to extend its mission beyond convening the industry, working instead to build the relationships, pipelines, and partnerships that will shape the future of Africa’s creative economy.
